CALAFAT TRACK DAY

On 28 February we held our first Track Day of the year at the Calafat Circuit. A unique experience, designed to offer our customers the opportunity to perfect their skills on the track at the wheel of their Ferraris.

During the day, participants were able to enjoy not only the impressive performance of their vehicles, but also the technical challenge posed by this circuit, known for its demanding bends and sections that test both the driver's expertise and the performance of the vehicles.

We started with a briefing from our regular instructors and then continued with exercises on the track. Firstly, the team of drivers and instructors led by veteran Francesc Gutiérrez accompanied the participants to two locations on the circuit, where braking tests were carried out with cornering and avoidance manoeuvres. Key concepts such as weight transfer, the importance of progressive braking, and anticipation when entering and exiting corners were explained. With this information in mind, the customers were ready to put their skills and knowledge to the test in a safe and controlled environment.

Once these two tests had been completed, the participating Ferraris, which included a Ferrari 360 Challenge, a Ferrari SF90, two Ferrari F8 Tributo, a Ferrari 458 Italia, as well as a brand new Ferrari Roma, set off to drive around the historic track.

The more experienced drivers mostly drove alone in their Ferraris, while others decided to do so accompanied by an instructor as a co-driver, which was of great value to them, due to the corrections and improvements they acquired lap after lap.

These Track Days are designed, on the one hand, to perfect skills on the track, which undoubtedly enriches daily driving, and on the other, to experience first-hand the passion and DNA that Ferrari puts into each of its sports cars. It is an event designed for our customers with the most racing DNA.
