On Sunday, 4 May, the ninth edition of Cars For Smiles was held at the Hilton Diagonal Mar Hotel in Barcelona and at the Castellolí Circuit, where more than 200 people gathered to enjoy a day in which solidarity was the main focus.
In this edition, 41 teenagers were able to co-pilot supercars thanks to the collaboration of institutions such as the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, the Johan Cruyff Foundation, the Ànima Foundation, the HM Foundation and the Som Via Foundation. The young people, many of whom are undergoing medical treatment or are in vulnerable situations, enjoyed a unique experience accompanied by supportive drivers, such as our customers and our colleague Roger Noguera, who once again did not want to miss the opportunity to put a smile on a child's face by co-driving our Ferrari 296 GTB.
The day began with a welcome ceremony at the Hilton Diagonal Mar, where participants received gifts and listened to speeches by prominent figures in motor racing such as Luis Moya, Eric Gené and Marcos Menkes. They then moved on to the Kini MX Motorpark Circuit, where they enjoyed speed and adrenaline in a safe environment.
After lunch at the circuit, the group returned to the hotel for a closing ceremony that included raffles and prize-giving. In addition to providing an unforgettable day, the event raised €7,300 for the Johan Cruyff Foundation's wheelchair tennis project.
